This morning we’re covering grand openings, AI, new products, patches, downloads, and more in this edition of Automation This Morning for Monday, January 23, 2023.
First up is the opening of the “eXplore Live” exhibition at “The Smart Factory @ Wichita.” Located on Wichita State University’s Innovation Campus, The Smart Factory includes a fully operational production line and other exhibits which you’ll find the details about here.
Next up is the grand opening of Trenholm State’s brand-new, high-tech Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Montgomery, AL. Featuring products from Festo and Festo Didactic, potential students and interested readers can find out more here.
From Training to AI, today we’re featuring a new article by the good folks over at WWT about the Future of AI. Which of the the 15 predictions here do you think will come to pass? Let us know in the comments section at the bottom of this article.
For new products, we start with the R45C from Banner. This device allows you to bring in two analog devices into and IO-Link system, or bring in one analog input to IO-Link while also mirroring it as an analog output for local visualization or for use with an IIoT system. To learn more, click here.
SMC also has a new product out – a new size 20 Bernoulli Gripper which you can learn more about here.
From new products to new software updates and downloads, next on our list is a notice from Codesys about a newly discovered bug in v3.5 SP17 Patch 5. If you’re currently using that patch, please take a moment to read the Codesys recall notice here.
