Compact 5000 I/O System:

Rockwell Automation recently published an article detailing the features of the Compact 5000™ I/O system. This system offers a broad selection of standard and safety modules. It is equipped with dual gigabit (Gb) embedded Ethernet ports for Device Level Ring (DLR) and Linear topologies, offering adaptability and customization for applications that demand high speed and performance.

The Compact 5000™ I/O system is engineered to enhance performance capabilities within the Logix platform. It has a compact structure that serves as local I/O modules in a CompactLogix™ 5380, Compact GuardLogix® 5380, or CompactLogix system.

A notable feature of the Compact 5000™ I/O system is its compatibility with the Compact 5000 EtherNet/IP™ adapter. This makes it an optimal distributed I/O solution for controllers such as the CompactLogix 5380, Compact GuardLogix 5380, CompactLogix, ControlLogix® 5580, and GuardLogix 5580.
