In a recent article from Softing, it was reported that the company has expanded its Docker-based edgeConnector product family with the introduction of edgeConnector Allen-Bradley PLC. This new addition aims to provide easy access to data from ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers.
The edgeConnector Allen-Bradley PLC software module allows users to connect effortlessly to their controllers, making the data available on edge devices or virtual environments using OPC UA and MQTT protocols. Notably, this integration can be achieved without the need to modify the existing PLC configuration, enabling flexible integration into both on-premises and cloud environments.
