In a recent article from Rockwell Automation, it was highlighted that their Device Object Libraries enable easy interfacing with Rockwell Automation intelligent devices such as drives, motion, network switches, sensors, IO, and more. These libraries consist of tested, documented, and lifecycle-managed objects, which can be utilized with machine builder, process, and packaged libraries, or as standalone components.

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has unveiled their latest innovation, the NORDAC ON/ON+ decentralized variable frequency drives, designed for horizontal conveyor technology. These drives offer integrated functions to enhance efficiency and come with an Ethernet interface for seamless connectivity.
In a recent article from Siemens, it was announced that Siemens, in collaboration with BILT, the creators of 3D Intelligent Instructions, is advancing their mobile guides by transitioning them into spatial models for Apple Vision Pro. This development comes at a crucial time as the demand for skilled electricians and other tradespeople continues to rise, making it essential to train both new and existing workers effectively.
In a recent article from Pilz, it was reported that the PIT oe ETH serves as an industrial Ethernet interface that can be fully activated and deactivated electrically. This functionality allows it to operate as an expanded Ethernet interface of an industrial PC. Authorized personnel are granted the option to temporarily activate the interface for tasks such as installing new programs or configurations, as well as creating backup copies. The interface elements can be activated via any controller. When combined with the PITreader output, activation is only possible with corresponding permission, ensuring that access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Leuze’s recent article highlights the versatility of ultrasonic sensors in various industries, excelling in detecting objects regardless of material characteristics. The new 420B series features compact cubic plastic housings, offering economical solutions with one switching output in black housings and increased functionality in red housings with an IO-Link interface and two switching outputs. These sensors’ adjustable sound cones enable flexible use, reducing the need for different sensor variants and ensuring one sensor type can be used for various applications. They are adept at detecting fill levels through small openings and diffusely reflective objects, with an interruption filter to suppress interfering signals and two independent switching outputs for monitoring positions or fill levels.
