IIot In Hazardous Areas Thanks To EX NR:

In a recent article from Stahl, the basic principle of restricted breathing is highlighted. This principle stems from the concept that enclosures must effectively prevent the explosive mixture of gas and air from entering them by being tightly sealed. Additionally, the surface of the enclosure must not exceed the ignition limit temperature of the potentially explosive atmosphere. While this principle may seem straightforward, achieving the perfect balance between necessary safety requirements and ease of use requires careful consideration of various aspects. These requirements are detailed in the IEC EN 60079-15 standard. Enclosure systems meeting these standards are approved by ATEX or IECEx, as indicated by a corresponding marking.
