Ultrasonic sensors:
Leuze’s recent article highlights the versatility of ultrasonic sensors in various industries, excelling in detecting objects regardless of material characteristics. The new 420B series features compact cubic plastic housings, offering economical solutions with one switching output in black housings and increased functionality in red housings with an IO-Link interface and two switching outputs. These sensors’ adjustable sound cones enable flexible use, reducing the need for different sensor variants and ensuring one sensor type can be used for various applications. They are adept at detecting fill levels through small openings and diffusely reflective objects, with an interruption filter to suppress interfering signals and two independent switching outputs for monitoring positions or fill levels.
