Honeywell announced today that American Battery Factory, makers of Lithium Iron Phosphate battery cells, has chosen Honeywell’s automation and process safety solutions for its new gigafactory located in Tucson, Ariz.
The new facility is approximately 2 million square feet, and will be the largest gigafactory to produce LFP cells in the USA when completed. Energy storage systems made from battery cells made at ABF’s plant will be available to a wide range of customers, including households, businesses and utilities.
