Note: Below are details on why I made changes to my content publishing schedule for 2025:

Changes to Member-only Content Schedule:

The quantity of member-only content published on The Automation Blog and YouTube is directly proportional to the number of members (aka subscribers) we has. We ended 2024 with roughly 40 Level 2 members, which (after fees and taxes) covers the cost of 5 hours of content creation per month.

In the hopes of growing the number of members/subscribers in 2025 (in order to bring back the News and Q & A shows,) I’m initially committing to 5 hours of member-only content creation per week.

Changes to the Free/Public Content Schedule:

The quantity of free content published on The Automation Blog and YouTube is directly proportional to the revenue generated through advertising and sponsored content, which varies wildly from month to month.

For the year of 2024, the average monthly income from Google & YouTube Ads, plus our own merch, video, & ebook sales, was not enough to cover our most basic bill, our web hosting costs. This is why we’ve focused on vendor sponsored content as a way to continue to bring our audience new, free videos, podcasts, and articles.
