For those of you who enjoy our weekly articles and videos on industrial automation, today I'm announcing new “instant rewards” are now available to all those who support our site at Patreon.com/automation.
Instant Rewards for all Patrons:
You can now login to TheAutomationBlog.com using your Patreon login, and when you do the first thing you'll notice is that all homepage and in-article ads are disabled.
In fact, the only ad you'll see when you log in as a Patron is the background ad, and we're working with our plug-in vendor with the hope of also being able to disable it in a future update.
The next thing you'll notice when you login with your Patron account is that you can now watch upcoming episodes of The Automation Show and The Automation Podcast “days in advance” of the general public.
And the final reward you'll automatically unlock by logging in with your Patreon account is access to future insider articles and videos. This new “insider” content is content we're going to produce just for our Patrons, in appreciation for all their support.
Free downloads for Gold and Platinum Patrons:
While all of the above “instant rewards” are available to everyone who supports our site at Patreon.com/automation, there are some additional rewards unlocked by Gold and Platinum supporters.
First, all Gold and Platinum supporters unlock access to download all of our sample code files completely free of charge.
On top of that, Platinum supporters also unlock access to download all past episodes of The Automation Minute and The Automation Show completely free as well.
A quick note about unlocking free downloads:
Currently, it can take from 1 to 3 business days for Gold and Platinum Patrons to see their 100% discount activated in our store (https://theautomationblog.com/shop) since doing so is currently a manual process.
That said, we are working with the good folks over at Patreon.com to hopefully automate this process in the future.
What are Patron Pledges used for? To improve and expand our content.
For those who are curious where a Patron's pledges go, we use them to increase the quality and quantity of content we publish with the hope of growing to the point where we can publish new content each and every workday.
That said, we hope that in the future TheAutomationBlog.com will be able to stand on it's own as the world's premiere industrial automation how-to blog!
If you'd like to join us on this journey, please consider become a patron of our site at http://Patreon.com/automation
