So you have a PanelView Plus and want to copy an .MER runtime file from its memory to an external memory card or USB thumb drive?

Well in today’s article I’ll show you step-by-step how to use the PanelView Plus Configuration Menu to do just that.

Step 1) Power on your PanelView Plus and return to the main configuration menu as shown below:

Note: If you don’t know how to get back to the PanelView Plus’s configuration menu, check out my previous article on that topic:

Step 2) Select Terminal Settings from the main menu, then select File Management and Enter:

Step 3) Now select Copy Files and Enter:

Step 4) Next select Copy Applications and Enter:

Step 5) Here select the .MER Runtime Application you would like to copy from the PanelView Plus’s internal memory, and then select Destination:

Step 6A) If you’re using a PanelView Plus 6 or 7 and want to copy your runtime to a compatible SD card, insert the card now. Then, once “External Storage 1” becomes available select it and then select Copy:

Step 6B) If you’re using a PanelView Plus and want to copy your runtime to a compatible CompactFlash card, insert the card now. Then once “External Storage 1” becomes available select it and then select Copy:

Step 6C) If you’d like to copy the runtime file to a USB flash drive, first insert the USB drive into the PVPlus. If it is compatible, after a few moments “External Storage 2” will become available. Select it, and then select Copy:

NOTE: If you have a file on your memory device with the same name you’re trying to copy you will be asked if you want to overwrite it.
