Good morning readers!
As we approach the end of 2015, I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts with you on the future of The Automation Blog.
The Goal: Double the number of articles
This would bring the total number of free articles on the site up from about 460 to our new goal of 1000.
Reality: I can’t do it without your help!
While thinking about what it would take to reach that milestone, I realized I just can’t do it without your help.
First, to be able to dedicate the time and effort needed to double the number of articles on the blog, I would need your help to spread the word about the site.
It works out that the more people who visit the blog, the more advertising revenue it generates, which in turn results in more time I can dedicate to producing new free articles and videos (in place of time spent on paid consulting and training.)
So the first and most important way you can help The Automation Blog continue to publish new, free articles each week is by simply spreading the word about The Automation Blog website with your friends and colleagues in the industrial automation world.
Next, it’s very helpful when you share which topics you’d like to see covered in upcoming articles. That type of feedback is a huge help is setting the schedule and priority of future articles.
You each have your own expertise and unique experiences which I know our other readers would love to read about.
If you’re a vendor who produces automation products (or products used in conjunction with automation) I’d love to get samples to use and discuss in my articles and videos.
I would also very much like to interview you about your products for The Automation Blog and Podcast.
And vendors, vendor reps, and distributors, keep in mind you can cost effectively advertise on The Automation Blog using Google’s affordable AdWords program, which allows you to specify which local regions your ads run in.
In addition to AdWords, I’m also accepting bids for the advertising space currently occupied by our EBAY affiliate ads, which would provide a dedicated ad location for a fixed duration and price.
So in summary, while I would like to double the number of free how-to articles on The Automation Blog, I just can’t do it without your help!
To that end, if you’ve enjoyed The Automation Blog and would like to see the number of articles on our blog continue to grow, please take a moment to share a link to our website with your automation colleagues.
And if there are any other ways you’d like to help, please don’t hesitate to drop me a message publically as a reply to this article, or privately using the form at www.InsightsInAutomation.com/contact/
